Cultural Show

Be mesmerised by the diversity of the Malaysian culture through the cultural shows and traditional dance performances held every 4 days in a week Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday on 3.00pm - 3.45pm & Saturday on 8.30pm - 9.15pm in the Mini Auditorium .This hall can accommodate 140 people and the entrance fee is only RM5.00 for adults and free for children below 12 years of age or Group Visitors.
- Layang Emas is a traditional court dance. It originates from the state of Perlis, a northern state of Peninsular Malaysia. The graceful movements featured in this dance are inspired by the movements of the Golden Swallow.
- Chinese dances are quite often performed to usher in auspicious occasions and seasons. The Chinese of Malaysia have their own dances like the Fan Dance, Ribbon Dance and many more.
- There are many classical and folk forms of Indian dance, namely Bharatanatyam, Kathak and many more. In Malaysia, the Indian folk dances are also very popular.
- This graceful dance is performed to welcome guests to the Iban's traditional long houses. when receiving guests, the Iban ladies show their skills in weaving the 'puah kumbu' while the famous Iban warrior showing their skills in using the 'sumpit' (blowpipe) for hunting.
- From the small community of Portuguese in Malacca, this dance performed in pairs and is very joyous.
- This middle-eastern originated art form has a solid footing in Johor. It compasses a musical beat that accentuates the dance movements which is primarily focused with regards to its energetic grace. It became creatively localized as entertainments during Malay wedding and on such festive occasions.

Top Spinning

Top spinning is very popular among Malaysian. A length of rope is skillfully wound around the carved wooden top which unwinds quickly as it is thrown to the ground. The object of the game is to keep the top spinning as long as possible, lifting it from the ground onto a small flat wooden base. This Top Spinning Court use for demostration, training and competition.

Traxx FM broadcasts 'LIVE' from a mini studio in MaTiC through designated slots everyday from 9.00am to 10.00am and 12.00pm to 2.00pm.Traxx FM into new concept using "travel n music" as its slogan was an effort to add value to the growth of the tourism sector. Traxx FM will complement tourism promotion activities adding that its existance can help boost the country's tourism industry.

Malaysian Heritage

"Cekak Musang" Malay Shirt This costume became well known in the 1930's although one opinion is that it was worn from as far as the sixteenth century. The complete costume consists of the shirt, trousers, "samping" (short sarong), "bengkong" (waistband) and "tengkolok" (head cloth). In the early days, only the Royalty wore such costume but now it is also worn by ordinary folks.
"Baju Kurung" The baju kurung is one of the most popular types of costume in Malaysia. For women, the ensemble comprises a long-sleeves loose fitting long blouse worn over a matching sarong. A sarong is neatly tied in a bunch in the "ombalk mengalun" technique of translated as flowing waves.
"Samfu" The "Samfu" is a traditional outfit worn by Chinese men. In Cantonese, "Samfu" would mean shirt and trousers. The costume consists of a short-sleeved collared shirt with buttons. The pair of pants is cut straight and the costume is completed with a hat.
Shanghai Dress Worn by the Chinese women, the costume consists of a long dress called the Shanghai dress. The blouse comes with a collar, loose sleeves, a waistband made from the same fabric and a loose skirt.
"Salwar Kameez" This costume comes from Northern India. It consists of a loose top garment and a pair of straight-cut trousers. The front of the outfit is woven with gold thread.
"Kurta" The "Kurta Pijama" is a traditional outfit for Indian men. The costume is long and cut straight. It consists of a loose shirt and a pair of pants, which is cut straight. The wedding version is complemented with a turban embellished with a brooch and feathers.
The Costume of The Iban Warrior The jacket ("kelambi") is sleeveless and made of cotton. It is woven in the same manner as the "bidang" with a warp-ikat pattern. These jackets are used for ceremonies associated with house building, the initial process of paddy planting or the exorcising of evil spirits. The "sirat" is a loincloth with the ends elaborately decorated. The colour and motifs of the "sirat" differ according to area or region. Other accessories include the "labong" (a head turban with feathers), necklace, bangle and belt.
Kadazan Costume This elaborate costume for the Sabah tribesmen is made of black velvet, which consists of a sleeveless top and a short sarong trimmed with decorative braiding. This costume is usually used for the Sumazau dance during the harvest festival.
