19 December 2024 | Handover Ceremony of the Air Conditioning System Project at MaTiC
An official handover ceremony for the Air Conditioning System Upgrade Project at MaTiC was held in a formal and symbolic manner. The event was officiated by YBrs. Ir. Izrul bin Idris, Chief Mechanical Engineer from The Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR) of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, together with Encik Asrul bin Zakaria, Director of the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC).
This project is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of facilities and comfort for both local and international visitors to MaTiC, one of the main tourism hubs in the capital. The upgraded air conditioning system is expected to have a positive impact on daily operations while also supporting energy efficiency goals and the sustainable maintenance of facilities.
Also present at the ceremony was Encik Mohd Syauki bin Mohd Sidek, representing the Managing Director of Labu Mekar Enterprise, the appointed contractor responsible for the successful implementation of the project. Encik Ahmad Rahizan bin Mohd Arif, Senior Assistant Engineer at MaTiC, was also in attendance and played a key role in providing technical oversight throughout the project execution.
The completion of this project reflects the strong collaboration between the government and the private sector in ensuring the delivery of high-quality and high-impact public services.
The event concluded with a site visit to view the newly installed system and a photography session with all parties involved.
